The calculator uses standard geometric formulas to determine volume:

Rectangular/Square Ponds

This is the simplest shape to calculate. The formula is straightforward:

Volume = Length × Width × Average Depth

Ensure all measurements are in the same unit (e.g., feet, meters) before calculation.

Circular Ponds

For circular ponds, we use the area of a circle multiplied by its depth:

Volume = π × (Radius)² × Average Depth
