This system allows you to combine existing Personas to create new, more powerful ones, inheriting skills and stats along the way. Mastering fusion is key to conquering the Palaces and Mementos, and ultimately, saving humanity.

The Basics of Persona Fusion

Persona fusion is performed in the Velvet Room, presided over by Igor and his assistants. It's the primary method for obtaining new Personas beyond negotiation. By sacrificing two or more Personas, you can create a new one. The resulting Persona's Arcana and base level are determined by the combination of the parent Personas.

Types of Fusion

• Normal Fusion: The most common type, combining two Personas to create a new one. This calculator focuses on simulating this process.
• Advanced Fusion: Requires three or more specific Personas to create a powerful, unique Persona. These often represent significant figures in mythology or legend.
• Network Fusion: An online feature allowing you to fuse your Persona with one from another player, sometimes resulting in unique skill sets or Personas you haven't unlocked yet.

How Persona Fusion Works (Simplified)

Every Persona belongs to a specific Arcana (e.g., Fool, Magician, Chariot). When two Personas are fused, their Arcana determine the Arcana of the resulting Persona. The specific Persona within that Arcana is then determined by the average level of the parent Personas, usually resulting in the lowest-level Persona of that Arcana that is higher than the average level.

Confidant ranks play a crucial role: a higher Confidant rank with a specific Arcana will grant bonus experience to any newly fused Persona of that Arcana, allowing them to start at a higher level or even learn skills earlier.

Using Our P5R Persona Calculator

This calculator provides a simplified demonstration of the Persona fusion process. While it doesn't account for every nuance of the in-game system (such as skill inheritance, special fusions, or Confidant bonuses), it offers a quick way to see potential outcomes based on a basic Arcana fusion chart.

Tips for Efficient Fusion

• Register Personas: Always register your Personas in the Compendium before fusing them. This allows you to resummon them later, even at their registered level and with their learned skills.
• Skill Inheritance: Pay attention to skill inheritance. Personas can inherit skills from their parents, allowing you to pass powerful abilities to new Personas.
• Confidant Bonuses: Prioritize increasing your Confidant ranks. The higher your rank, the more bonus experience your newly fused Personas of that Arcana will receive.
• Fusion Alarms: During Fusion Alarms, fusions can yield stronger Personas, different skill inheritances, or even result in accidents! Use them strategically.
