Boat Types and Points Per Game
There are three different lander boats, each with its own combat level requirement and point reward:
- Novice Lander: Requires Combat Level 40+. Awards 3 Pest Control points per successful game.
- Intermediate Lander: Requires Combat Level 70+. Awards 4 Pest Control points per successful game.
- Veteran Lander: Requires Combat Level 100+. Awards 5 Pest Control points per successful game.
It's always recommended to use the highest tier boat available to you for the most efficient point gain.

- Experience (XP) Lamps: Pest Control points can be exchanged for experience in any combat skill (Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic, Prayer). The XP gained per point scales with your level, but a common rate is 35 XP per point at lower levels, increasing significantly at higher levels.
- Herb Packs: 50 points for a pack containing various herbs.
- Mineral Packs: 25 points for a pack containing various ores and bars.
- Seed Packs: 15 points for a pack containing various farming seeds.
- Coin Pouches: 10 points for 2,000 coins.

Tips for Efficient Pest Control
To maximize your points and minimize your time spent, consider these tips:
- Optimal Gear: Bring good combat gear, food, and potions (Super Combat/Ranging/Magic potions, Prayer potions if using overheads). Protect from Melee is often useful.
- Focus Portals: The primary objective is to destroy the portals. Identify which portals are weakened and focus your attacks there.
- Protect the Void Knight: While attacking portals, ensure the Void Knight's health doesn't drop too low. If it falls to 0%, the game ends in failure.
- World Hopping: Look for active Pest Control worlds (usually world 344 for Veteran, 378 for Intermediate, etc.) where games start quickly.
- Teamwork: While not strictly necessary, coordinating with other players to focus fire on portals can speed up games significantly.
