  • Keyway Depth in Hub (t2): Similarly, this is the depth measured from the bore surface of the hub to the bottom of the keyway. It's also typically around half of the nominal key height (H/2).
  • Distance from Center to Keyway Bottom (C_dist): This is a critical dimension for machining and inspection. It represents the radial distance from the center of the shaft (or bore) to the deepest point of the keyway. It is calculated as (Shaft Diameter / 2) - Keyway Depth in Shaft.
