Unlock Ultimate Power: Your BTD6 Paragon Calculator Guide

Bloons TD 6 (BTD6) introduced Paragons as the ultimate tier of tower upgrades, combining the strengths of all three Tier 5 paths into a single, incredibly powerful super-tower. Achieving a high Paragon degree is crucial for tackling the toughest challenges, like Boss Bloons and high-round Freeplay. But how exactly is that degree calculated, and how can you maximize it?

This BTD6 Paragon Calculator and guide will break down the mechanics, help you understand the factors influencing your Paragon's strength, and provide strategies to reach Degree 100 every time. Let's dive into the science of Bloon-popping supremacy!

What Are Paragons and Why Do Degrees Matter?

Paragons are the apex of Monkey Tower evolution. They are created by merging all three Tier 5 upgrades of a single monkey type (e.g., all three Dart Monkey T5s: Plasma Monkey Fan Club, Ultra-Juggernaut, Crossbow Master). When you upgrade one of these T5s to a Paragon, the other two T5s (and any other towers of that monkey type within range, up to Tier 4) are sacrificed, contributing to the Paragon's "degree".

The Paragon's degree, ranging from 1 to 100, directly impacts its damage, attack speed, and special abilities. A Degree 100 Paragon is vastly more powerful than a Degree 1 Paragon, making understanding its calculation vital for late-game success.

The Four Pillars of Paragon Power

A Paragon's degree is determined by a "Paragon Power" score, which is a sum of contributions from four main sources. Each 100 points of Paragon Power translates to 1 Paragon Degree, with a maximum of 10,000 Power for Degree 100.

  • 1. Pop Count (Damage Dealt): The total number of pops (damage) accumulated by all towers of that monkey type (including the three T5s and sacrificed towers) before the Paragon is created.
  • 2. Number of T5 Towers Sacrificed: The two other Tier 5 towers of the same type that are sacrificed during the Paragon creation. While you need three T5s to *enable* a Paragon, only the two *sacrificed* T5s contribute to this specific power factor.
  • 3. Total Value of Non-T5 Sacrifices: The total in-game cash value of all other towers of that monkey type (T0-T4) that are in range and sacrificed during the Paragon upgrade.
  • 4. Number of T0-T4 Towers in Range: The count of *unique* (non-upgraded) towers of that monkey type (T0-T4) that are within the Paragon's merge range. Each individual tower counts, up to a certain limit.

Breaking Down the Calculation (and How Our Calculator Works)

Here's how each factor contributes to the total Paragon Power:

a) Pop Count (Pops Power)

  • Every 16,000 pops contributed by the base towers (before Paragon creation) adds 1 point of Paragon Power.
  • This factor has a maximum contribution of 1250 Power, achieved at 20,000,000 pops.
  • Our calculator uses your "Total Pop Count" input for this.

b) T5 Towers Sacrificed (T5 Sac Power)

  • Each of the two sacrificed T5 towers provides 20,000 points of Paragon Power.
  • Since you can sacrifice a maximum of 2 T5s (the third T5 is upgraded), this factor contributes up to 40,000 Power.
  • Our calculator uses your "Number of T5 Towers Sacrificed" input (should typically be 2 or 3 if you count the one being upgraded, but for sacrifice it's 2). Note: The calculator input is "Number of T5s Sacrificed" which means the two additional T5s beyond the one being upgraded. If you have 3 T5s total, you sacrifice 2.

c) Total Value of Non-T5 Sacrifices (Non-T5 Sac Power)

  • For every $2.50 spent on T0-T4 towers of the same type that are sacrificed, you gain 1 point of Paragon Power. This means every $2,500 in value contributes 1,000 Power.
  • This factor has a maximum contribution of 100,000 Power, achieved at $250,000 spent on non-T5 sacrifices.
  • Our calculator uses your "Total Value of Non-T5 Sacrifices" input.

d) Number of T0-T4 Towers in Range (Unique Tower Power)

  • Each individual T0-T4 tower of the same type (e.g., Dart Monkeys) within the merge radius contributes 100 points of Paragon Power.
  • This factor has a maximum contribution of 10,000 Power, achieved by having 100 such towers in range.
  • Our calculator uses your "Number of T0-T4 Towers in Range" input.

Total Paragon Power = Pops Power + T5 Sac Power + Non-T5 Sac Power + Unique Tower Power

Final Paragon Degree = floor(Total Paragon Power / 100) (capped at 100)

Strategies for Maximizing Your Paragon Degree

Achieving Degree 100 requires careful planning and execution. Here are some pro tips:

  1. Pop Count Farming: Before upgrading to a Paragon, focus on accumulating as many pops as possible with the relevant monkey type. Towers like Sun Avatars, Grandmaster Ninja, or Pop and Awe are excellent for this. Use abilities, alchemist buffs, and optimal placement.
  2. T5 Placement: Ensure you have all three T5s of the chosen monkey type on the map. The two you don't upgrade will be sacrificed.
  3. Economical Sacrifices: To reach the $250,000 non-T5 sacrifice cap efficiently, spam cheap towers of the relevant type (e.g., 0-0-0 Dart Monkeys). Place them densely around where your Paragon will be. Consider using Monkey Business/Greater Production villages to reduce their cost.
  4. Maxing Unique Towers: Similar to sacrifices, place up to 100 individual T0-T4 towers of the monkey type within the merge radius. Again, 0-0-0 towers are usually sufficient for this.
  5. Monkey Knowledge: Invest in relevant Monkey Knowledge that boosts Paragon power or makes farming easier. For example, the "Paragon of Power" MK in the Magic tree can increase the cap for pops and sacrifices.
  6. Boss Bloon Specifics: For Boss Bloons, especially Elite Tiers, a Degree 100 Paragon is almost mandatory. Plan your economy and tower placement from early rounds to set up for this.

Using the Calculator

Our calculator simplifies this complex process. Simply input the estimated values for each of the four factors into the fields above, click "Calculate Paragon Degree," and instantly see your estimated degree. Use this tool to:

  • Plan your strategy before a big game.
  • Understand which factors you need to improve to reach a higher degree.
  • Experiment with different setups to see their impact.

Remember, while the calculator provides a precise estimate, in-game conditions and specific Paragon abilities might have minor nuances. Always aim for slightly higher values than needed if you're pushing for Degree 100!
